We follow a weekly rhythm which reflects the diversity of our community and fosters the curiosity we think is essential to a deeper spiritual understanding and integration in our lives.

Join us any night that aligns for you.

We explore a spiritual text, story or concept, followed by facilitated conversation and singing together.

A spiritual practices shared, followed by a chance to participate in it and facilitated conversation.

We explore a topic, followed by an extended time for conversation. Snacks are often involved.

We gather to complete a service project together as an outward expression of love.

When a 5th Sunday occurs in the month, we reserve it for special gatherings such as a potluck, decided closer to the date.

Tap is a casual gathering of First Presbyterian Bend for those who long to explore and talk about spirituality in a spacious environment, where curiosity and inclusivity are at the heartbeat of our time together. Each week we gather to wonder and dialogue together over a different theme (and a cold drink!), sharing our stories and learning from one another through our questions.

We follow what we call a "weekly rhythm", with a slightly different focus for each Sunday of the month, which reflects the diversity of our community. You can read more about our rhythms here.

All are welcome. Childcare is available for children 4 and under. Drinks are on us! (read: free beer, cider & kombucha!)

November 6: 1st Sunday of the month: November is a natural time of year for us to move inward as the season shifts and focus on the things we are grateful for in life. Practicing gratitude has so many benefits, both spiritually and physiologically. Let’s consider what living a life of gratitude looks like and how to walk the tension of joy and hardship in life.

November 13: 2nd Sunday of the Month - Spiritual Practice. Continuing our theme of gratitude, we will engage in a spiritual practice and further reflection to integrate a posture of gratitude into our life. 5PM-6PM.

November 20: 3rd Sunday of the Month - extend conversation: FRIENDSGIVING POTLUCK. Let's gather for a meal together! Sign up to bring a dish (email Becca at bellis@bendfp.org) and we will enjoy an evening around the table with one another.

November 27th: 4th Sunday of the Month - Love In Action Night. On this night, we will enter into a service project together. This month, we will be putting together "take away bags" for guests of a local warming shelter. These are bags filled with food, an encouraging note and items such as hand warmers, which shelter guests are given as they leave in the morning. You can sign up to donate items for the bags (not required) here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JCvGNAHT5pY-PQZBn5pRc1dTBueC519DPYUKGw3rYKA/edit?usp=sharing

December 4: 1st Sunday of the Month - The weeks leading up to Christmas and the New Year can hold a variety of feelings to navigate and external pressures. We don't have to hold that alone.

December 11: 2nd Sunday of the Month - Spiritual Practice. We will have a contemplative evening of reflective stations to experience, as we journey into the upcoming winter solstice and darkest days of the year.

December 18th: Beers & Carols! Join us for a night of festive singing together as we share a drink and christmas cookies (optional: bring some to share!). Festive sweaters encouraged!

December 25th & January 1 - NO TAP. We'll see you on January 8th!

Lights in the Dark

You are welcome in this space whether church feels easy or hard; if you have felt a connection to God for a long time or feel cut off and distant; if you feel uncertain about the path you are on or are just exploring a spiritual connection for the first time.

We embrace diversity.

We are not here to judge.

We hold a posture of curiosity.

We affirm one another as spiritual teachers.

We affirm the many gifts of children and people of all abilities.

We love having kids at Tap! We currently offer childcare for ages 4 and under in our staffed play center. Older children are invited to participate in an art project in the Wonder Room. However, kids are always welcome to remain with their parents in our main gathering. We provide some quiet activities for them in the space (as well as kid friendly drinks and snacks) and welcome their engagement in our conversation and time together, as well.
